 Sabic wins an innovation award at the EPSE 2022 AWARDS with Glazetech's project on a house in Kavouri and a design award for a shop in Dubai. 24 October Dusseldorf.
The award was presented today by Mr. Ronald Vincent, Commercial Leader EMEA from Sabic Netherlands. The Arab-Hellenic Chamber was convening the "Greece & 5 Marshriq countries" business gathering which was held in Caravel Athens hotel on 23-24 March 2022. This event aimed to enhance communication channels between the businessmen of the Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria. Glazetech was there to discuss further and share views and ideas with new partners for further development and cooperation.
 According to customer’s designs and specifications, it is announced the successful construction and assembly of the first prototype Glazetech aluminum Pergola and considered totally suitable for the 2 upcoming projects in public garden and park in Paris-France of a total coverage »1000 sqm.
Mich.Vakirtzis & Co – “Glazetech” Company and the new patented aluminum waterproof shading system AL.ROLL Pergola, proudly won the first award in “The Gaia Awards event 2015” in Windows, doors and cladding category. Mr. George Vakirtzis, CEO, Civil Engineer as a Product Designer twice awarded for his products mentioned : “The award is a great honor and I really appreciate your recognition of our new product. I promise that it will be a worthwhile investment. We never stop thinking and creating new ideas for a more sustainable built environment”.
Winners of the eighth annual Gaia Awards were announced during a ceremony highlighting the brightest and most innovative thinking in sustainable construction products, systems and techniques during the Big 5 Expo in Dubai on Tuesday 24th November 2015. The panel whittled the original 283 down to a shortlist of 54 before rendering that list down further, to 18 - three finalists for each of the six categories. Judging in each of the final six categories took a full day each as judges pored over each submission. Selected by an independent and impartial panel of judges, three finalists were chosen for each of six categories including Coatings Adhesives & Sealants, General Construction, HVAC, Marble Stone & Ceramics, Windows Doors & Cladding and Innovations. Entry for this year’s event was strong. Not only did the competition attract 40% more entries this year than last, but the quality of entry and products put up for consideration impressed the judging panel of five tremendously. The panel included Anwaar Al Shimmari, director of Projects Planning Department at the Ministry of Public Works; Alaa K Ashmawy, professor of civil engineering and dean of the school of engineering; Ahmed Bukhash, director of Urban Planning at the Dubai Municipality; Stephane Le Gentil, CEO of Etihad Energy Services, and Mario Seneviratne, director of green technologies. The Gaia Awards has grown into the industry’s most respected awards honoring those construction equipment and products that have truly integrated the concept of moving towards a more sustainable built environment. The 2015 awards accepted nearly 289 entries out of this are shortlisted in only 18 companies that were put into 7 categories. The final winners will be selected among 3 companies from each category.
